My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking to adopt a puppy, check out this blue-ribbon bunch! Alba, Alonzo, Atticus and Azalea are all so cute; it’s really not fair to ask you to choose just one. These four Chihuahua mix puppies came to us when they were only 5 weeks old. They have been lovingly raised in a foster home since then. Now nine weeks old, we have three boys and one girl to choose from. They are simply adorable and will stay small dogs when full grown. These sweet puppies are very well socialized and love to play. They have been around dogs of all sizes since coming to us. They love playing with all kinds of toys and sometimes even a box will do. Outgoing and affectionate, these tiny babes love to be snuggled and spoiled. We are looking for very special families to adopt this bunch. They need someone that has plenty of time to devote to their training. Preferably, in a home with another dog so they have someone to play with. Of course, you can always adopt two! A fenced in yard will be needed to keep them safe when outside. With pups this cute, you’ll need to apply quickly to get your pick of the litter. Alba, Alonzo, Atticus and Azalea will make some lucky family a wonderful pet.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Tour/Adoption Hours:

Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm

During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
