My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Candie & Cookie were rescued from ACCT Philly Code Red, Time stamped at just about 4 weeks old. From the time they came to our rescue, they have done nothing but thrive! They are both so lovable and playful! They love to snuggle and kiss and just want to be the center of your universe. They are polydactyls, or sometimes referred to as Hemingway cats. Meaning they have an extra digit on at least one paw. In the case of Candie the calico, she has an extra digit on front paws and two extra digits on her back paws. Her beautiful orange sister, Cookie, has an extra digit on all 4 paws. They are beautiful and kind and wonderful kittens looking for all the love and warmth they can get! Because they are fearless and impetuous babies, we do not recommend them going to a home with very young children. They would do well with children over 8 who are responsible to watch that doors are shut so kittens won’t get out!

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Foster homes.

2.
Submit Application

The application requires a vet reference and two non-family personal references. Our app asks for employment info, address & year started.

3.
Interview

We speak to the adopter by phone and again in person.

Additional adoption info

We also like to meet other family members and room mates. If someone is renting, we check with the landlord to be sure pets are allowed. We adopt out 2 kittens at a time to prevent boredom and loneliness. One kitten can be adopted only if there are other pets in the family.

We are Lauren’s Lost Cats Rescue. It is our mission to reduce the population of cats on the streets, while simultaneously educating communities about TNRV. For those cats that are friendly, we find fosters and/or permanent homes.
