My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Panther, a Cane Corso picked up by one of our officers and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/3. Panther weighs 74 pounds and is approx 1 1/2 years old. The name fits because of his black sleek coat, his slender body and the the way he moves. He is on the smallish side of a typical Cane Corso. Panther came in with a small Cavalier King Spaniel who appeared to be the "boss" of the two. He seems to have been well-cared for but does have a cherry eye. A cherry eye is fairly common, can be easily fixed at the vet clinic and is a fairly inexpensive procedure. Panther walks exceptionally well on a leash. He may be house trained as he pottied in the yard. He is amiable, affectionate, gives kisses and likes to be petted and cuddled. This boy does NOT have the personality to be a guard or watch dog--he's too sensitive and gentle. He needs to live inside with his people and receive the TLC he deserves.
