My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We must have an application to move forward.

in foster in Western WA.

HOPE is possibly part Australian Cattle Dog and part Canaan Dog.. She is definitely a Texas delight! She is 4 yrs old and 35#s. She is very attentive to her master; loves affection; and loves to please.

Hope is house trained, crate trained, loves to go for walks and is excellent on car rides. She loves to play with the foster's two 40# pups. She is calm and quiet -- almost intuitive. You can see her "thinking" while she watches her surroundings. We recommend a single person or a couple to adopt her. She is like a shadow. We do not recommend high energy/loud family life with young children. She is not a "throw the ball and bring it back"-type dog.

When Hope goes to the dog park she prefers to be around the children and adults rather than the other dogs. She does love to play with stuffed toys. If someone wants a sweet, quiet, intuitive dog that wants to be by your side and wants to keep you happy with hugs, snuggles, and love... THIS IS THE DOG!

Hope is a people-pleasing dog. Loves people and children. At dog parks, Hope inclines to be more with adults and children more than playing with dogs.

Hope wants to be everywhere I am, right next to me. She thrives on love and attention and is such a sweet, nice, quiet dogs. Hope rarely barks.

She stares at the cats when they go for walks. She doesn’t jerk the leash and chase but she is curious.

Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
