My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hotrod is a delightful transfer up to us from TX. He was a little concerned about what was happening with all the van rides to get here but he is opening up wonderfully now that he doesn't have to ride in a van any more! He gets along well with his roommate and has been out on harnessed leash walks. He has a tail wag for you every time you walk into a room. He will blossom in a quiet home where he has a nice human to snuggle with and perhaps watch some TV. Then a nice walk around the neighborhood to cap off the evening! Hotrod is about 2 years of age, up to date on vaccinations, has been neutered and will be microchipped as part of his adoption fee. His fee is $250. Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

Go meet their pets

TRACS offers appointments daily 1-5 PM during the week excluding Mondays to see and meet adoptable pets. Tracs also adopts cats and kittens from Petsmart in Missoula, Montana. We have adoption days for dogs and cats at Petsmart additionally about 6 times a year. We also attend annual adoption events in the Missoula and Kalispell areas of Montana.

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible.
