My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

5/1/24. Meet SIMBA. This incredibly sweet 2-3 yr old boy from MDAS is a total lovebug and snuggler. Everyone he meets he puts his head in their lap for pets and attention. He is a quiet calm gentle boy, waits patiently for his turn to go out and thus far appears non reactive to other dogs. He is the perfect quiet loving companion for someone who works from home. May need some house training, cats and kids unknown as he came from shelter so we will not but him in that position. SIMBA is a phenomenally sweet dog.

4/24/24.  Another beautiful dog, SIMBA, ehrlichia positive, he is on meds and we will recheck in a month before being neutered.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
