My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Requirements:
*Another dog in the home.
*No cats (hamsters/gerbils/etc.)
*No apartments due to barking

Hiiiiiiii! I’m Cinnamon – my friends call me CC. I’m an enthusiastic about EVERYTHING! Are you excited? I am toooo!!!

I weigh 9 pounds and am about a 6–9-month-old sweet girl. My foster family suspects I’m mostly Jack Russell Terrier with some Chihuahua thrown in for spice. I’ve been spayed and have had my shots so I’m ready to roll! I looooove people and other dogs and I’m a great conversationalist. I like to talk (okay, bark) and let you know what’s going on. No one will sneak in on my watch. UPS Delivery? Amazon? You’ll know they’re coming!

I’m learning to walk on a leash and I’m also a superhero! I can jump a 42-inch gate in a single bound! I’m feisty and may be a little too excited about cats, squirrels, and chipmunks so keep that in mind. I had a rough start, so I need a little patience – just let me come to you (otherwise I might sprinkle a few drops). I’ll spring right up into your lap for pets and cuddles. I’m a quick learner and would love to learn some tricks! I’m already practicing “fetch”. You’ll never be alone! I can help you cook, clean, work in the yard, and am also great at watching movies, reading books, and taking naps. I’ll bounce alongside whatever you’re doing.

Additional adoption info

The apps are submitted and intensely screened for general approval by a phone interview and vet check. Once approved it is sent to the foster to see if it is a match for their foster dog where another interview takes place. If both agree it seems like a good fit. A meet is scheduled where the whole potential family and any current pets meet the foster and foster dog. A home check is done. Then once both agree it is in fact a good fit, they will sign a contract, pay a fee and take the dog home that day if the foster likes, or the next day so both parties can sleep on it to make sure it's right.

More about this rescue

We are 100% volunteer run rescue saving dogs from high kill shelters throughout the state of Georgia. We do not discriminate breeds, health concerns, injury, illness or surgical need. We save all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. Once saved - they are sent straight to the vet to be fully examined, have any health concerns addressed and cleared and then sent to the foster home for evaluation. Once evaluated, we come up with a bio to determine their best fit for a forever home.
