Andy was rescued by this kind family after letting the shelter know and posting him on many sites no on claimed him. After he was vaccinated and bathed, we slowly introduced our dogs to him. Andy appears to be a chug, he weighs 21 Lbs and is about 3 years old. He took to our dogs very well! He is playful with dogs, but boy does he love getting affection from humans. We have never heard him bark, he does cry when he wants affection and if he's getting left behind. During the work day 7:30-4pm we keep him in the guest room because he has escaped from our backyard twice. Andy has a habit of digging under our backyard gate to go outside the confines of the backyard. Luckily we've caught him and he seemed to do it because he wants to mark outside. To combat this we've blocked off the gate with bags of soil and our trash cans. Evenings and on the weekends or when someone is home, Andy is with the other 3 dogs in the living room. He quickly learned how to use the dog door! He sleeps for most of the day. His energy picks back up when we return from work. He LOVES taking walks outside. He is used to being on a harness, though he pulls a little bit because he wants to smell everything. After some playtime and cuddles, he will snooze on the couch until bedtime. Just last week we took the 4 dogs to Bakersfield to visit family. Andy did really well playing with my boyfriend's mom's dog who is a German Shepherd-Husky mix. Andy was even submissive toward the bigger pup. He did very well in the car - no accidents, no crying, no barking. Andy LOVES getting cuddles. He would make a great lap dog. I've given him one bath and although he didn't like it, he didn't jump out of the tub. I have not observed any aggressive behaviors from him toward other dogs or adults. We do not have kids around or other animals to examine his behavior. He is very food motivated. Long story short, once Andy gets to know you, he is truly a sweetheart and will love you. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations and will be micro-chipped. OFFICE
