My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is completely blind and will need patient foster with a safe space for her to relax in while she is recovering. Onyx is understandably overwhelmed by changes in her environment and would appreciate plenty of time and understanding when transitioning into her foster home.

Reason for Foster: Anemia

Foster Time Frame: Until 5/14

Foster Care Plan: Onyx is completely blind due to retinal degeneration. This is not a painful condition but cannot be reversed. Onyx's will need a confined space in the foster home with easy access to her litter box, food, and water. She will need time to get used to a new environment and learn the layout. Onyx is being monitored for anemia. She will need to return on 5/14 for bloodwork to see if her levels are improving.

I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Onyx. We can schedule a pickup and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/
