Koda is 2 and 1/2 year old! 60 lbs! Koda is friendly and loving!! He is a very affectionate boy. He likes to rest his head on your lap and get pets. He knows sit. He comes when he is called. He is great on a leash. And he takes treats very gently.
Koda has good energy, he’s a lot of fun , and would be great in an active household. He would love a yard to run around in. He loves to play fetch and tug of war with his people. If you like to hike and play fetch or just cuddle up on the couch, he would be a great companion. His energy is generally 3/10 with spikes of energy when it’s time to eat (yay! Food!) and when you let him know it’s time to play or go for a walk and get some energy out. He is great with other dogs and loves to play but can be intimidating because he’s a big, strong boy. He would also be happy being the only dog in a household that gives him playtime and attention. He is not a big fan of the crate but will go right in if bribed with food. He is great in the bath. Protective of his toys so best if he doesn’t have any. He does not beg for food. And he is learning to greet people with all four paws on the ground. He has a lot of cute quirks and personality and is a go with the flow kind of guy. Once he learns a routine and knows exactly what’s expected of him, he is such a good boy!

Our process begins with an application that must be submitted as the first step. If an application appears to be a match for the particular dog or puppy, we arrange for a time to discuss it over the phone. Once the phone interview takes place and there continues to be a potential for being a good match, we arrange for a meet and greet IF the dog is fostered in Your area and then a possible home visit. After that, references are checked and you will be contacted via email or phone that you've been approved for adoption. At this time the adoption contract and the link to pay the adoption fee will be sent to you. Upon approval of application, a the fee is payable via paypal, Venmo, or debit/credit card via PayPal (no account needed) within 24 hours to 'hold' the dog you are adopting. The adoption fee is $475. The application review process can take up to a week but we try to get to you as soon as possible. An adoption contract will be signed prior to the dog going to its new home.
