My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name:  Mickey

Breed: Mixed breed

Age: 3 months

Sex: Male

Weight: 15 lbs

Medical Needs: Grass Roots is scheduling Mickey to be neutered. Adopters must keep his neutering appointment as a condition of adoption. The appointment will be in Delaware and it is the adopters responsibility to bring her to the appointment. Adopters must either live in DE or within 1 hour of where the appointment will be scheduled.

Housebroken: No, he still learning the ins and outs of going outside. He currently stays in a pen with newspaper just in case. We make it outside 90% of the time.

Crate Trained: Yes!

Good in the car: Yes, he likes to be held so he can look out the windows! As he grows he will be able to do that on his own!

Good on Leash: Working on it.

Energy Level: medium/high

Mickey is full energy and ready to go all the time. He could be napping and you move and he’s like what’s our next move! He also can be a cuddle bug if all the puppy energy has been released.

Need fenced yard: No, he stays by my side or close enough. If you whistle he typically will come.

Dog Friendly: Yes, he loves dogs and cats!

If yes, does he need another dog in the home:
No but highly recommend unless you’re a super active family!

Cat Friendly: Yes, with supervision. He is still learning no bitting.

Kid Friendly: Yes, with supervision.

If yes, what age: No age limit just recommend supervision during the puppy stage.

Special traits that others should know about your foster:

Mickey made his journey here very last minute. When I say last minute I mean the night before transport! The shelter threw him on the bus knowing he had no foster to go but knew one of would give in! The only reason they did this due to Mickey being on the euthanasia list. As I opened my messenger I saw will you take a puppy and my door is always open! So Mickey made his way to my house in Delaware!

Mickey is one ball of fun! You will never have a dull moment with this boy! He keeps you on your toes and by that I mean watch your feet because he always one step into your shoe! He loves being with his human and spending lots of time exploring!

Mickey loves his bones and toys which are key to play for him! He’s wants lots of enrichment and entertainment. Which leads to a good point of training! He is very food and toy driven meaning training is super easy for him! He loves learning new things as long as you can keep him focused on you!

Mickey has a a white paw on the front left side which makes him looks like he’s wearing a sock! I imagine if he was a kid he would be running around wearing 1 out of his 2 socks so it’s fits his personality perfect! Mickey is ready for his forever home! Ready to spread his positive and loving energy! You can’t help but laugh when hanging out with Mickey!
