Meet Sam Wilson! This shy kitty is a master of the covert cuddle. Always on the lookout for the perfect hiding spot, Sam can vanish into the shadows with the grace of a silent breeze. Despite being a master of concealment, his heart is as big as the moon on a clear night. Once you earn Sam's trust, you'll find yourself on the receiving end of the most tender affection imaginable. When feeling particularly affectionate, he might gently nuzzle against your hand or curl up in your lap, purring softly like a distant melody. Stop by and meet Mr. Wilson today!<p> For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (FAMD) brings a little more love into the world by celebrating the special bond between an animal and their “person.” At FAMD, we don’t just rescue dogs and cats, we make life-changing connections with the people who adopt them.
We bring our passion and animals into the community with events that help bring together dogs and cats with loving people. And our outreach programs help promote education and animal welfare legislation locally, so that fewer animals have to spend another minute waiting for their forever home.
FAMD’s new state-of-the-art Animal Adoption and Education Center at 16121 Reckinger Road in Dearborn offers animals comfortable housing and medical support. It’s where our staff and volunteers work every day to make Metro Detroit a happier, more loving place for both two-legged and four-legged creatures alike.
