Meet Bee

Sweet Bee! Bee is a one-year-old Cattle Dog mix who was out of time at another shelter. We met her and couldn't resist taking her under our care. She loves being outside and will be so happy in a home where she can go for trail walks or jump around in the backyard. Bee has great leash manners and melts in your lap if given the opportunity. BHS adoption counselors are here to help you find your perfect furry friend. Unlike “pass/fail” adoption applications, we strive to match people and animals through education and discovery. We accomplish this by conversation to create an effective, pleasant adoption experience – and most importantly, to make lasting matches.

All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and receive heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption.

Welcome to Butte Humane Society (BHS). We are one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals. We are a Limited Admission shelter that strives to make our animals as comfortable as possible during their stay with us.
