Mickey is a 15 year-old healthy, neutered cat who I adopted from the Humane Society as a kitten. He has been a wonderful companion and family member. He used to be an indoor-outdoor cat, though now he stays inside except for the occasional lounge on our balcony. He has no behavioral issues to speak of, and has never sprayed. He uses his litter box faithfully, eats only dry food and loves treats. He has his nails, though he is not aggressive and remains gentle when my two year old pats him or even tugs his tail.
Our 5 month old son has developed severe eczema for which he has had to be put on steroids and antibiotics. We have determined, after a painstaking process including many trips to the doctor, allergy tests, blood tests, changes to formula, etc., that he is triggered by Mickey's dander, and advised by our pediatric dermatologist to re-home Mickey.
We are desperately looking for a kind home for our sweet Mickey and will provide food, litter and litter box!
