My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose is a beautiful 1 year old Shepherd/Corso mix who weighs 65 lbs. Although she is a strong puppy, she is an incredibly sweet and delicate girl who is looking for a foster or forever home that can help her bloom to her full potential.

Surrendered by her family to the Downey Animal Care Center, Rose was schedule to die because she was “too shy”. We were able to pull her from the shelter at the last minute which saved her life. Since she was an owner surrender, we know a little bit about her prior home environment.

Sadly, Rose’s previous family kept her outside all the time because she was “too energetic” and “they didn’t have time to exercise her.” As a result of boredom and underestimation, Rose would chew on things in the backyard. We’re soooo shocked. A shepherd puppy who is under stimulated and bored. How original!

Like all younger pups, Rose would benefit from a forever family who can provide her with ongoing training and exercise to help her channel her energy properly.

She previously lived in a home with children who were 6+ years old, and was playful and nervous, but warmed up quickly. Her previous family stated that she is good on car rides and her favorite chew toy is a tug rope. She is good with dogs of all sizes.
