My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tiffany~a 6 lb, 3yo Chihuahua mix with a cute underbite and a curly tail. She is seeking a fresh start in a loving home. Tiffany is well on her way to recovering from a difficult life. Her personality is slowly emerging into a loving, gentle, curious, quiet girl who doesn't bark. To get your attention she lets out a few sweet squeaks. Tiffany enjoys being with people, going on errands (partly because she gets all the attention), taking naps and observing the world around her. She is working on getting comfortable being left alone. She loves going on walks but hesitates to do ‘her business’ outside. Loud noises and other dogs startle her concentration. Tiffany has mastered indoor potty pads for now. She is a great eater and never begs for people food. Tiffany’s ideal forever home~ would be with someone who is a homebody or works from home, no young children. Tiffany is a sweet cuddly dog who needs time to adjust and overcome her unfortunate beginnings. She will make a wonderful companion.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Whether you are interested in a specific dog or would like us to recommend a dog that fits you best, you can expect the following adoption process:

1. The first step in the adoption process is to complete an Application. http://rescueachi.com/adoption-application/ We will review your application and verify the information upon receiving it. If you rent your home, your landlord will be contacted for approval so it is important to make sure to include your landlord’s name and number on the application.

2. Once your application is approved, we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog in person. This interview is usually arranged by the dog’s foster family and may take place at your home or mutual location. We encourage everyone who lives in the household, especially children and other pets to meet and interact with the dog during this interview.

3. CRSD reserves the right to visit your home for an inspection during the adoption process.

4. Once you are approved, you will be asked to sign a legally binding Adoption Contract and pay an adoption fee.

Adoption Fees
Because we are an all-volunteer group, 100% of all adoption fees are used to cover medical expenses for the dogs in our rescue. Medical treatments include general health exams, dogs spay/neuter surgery, dental work, vaccinations, flea preventative medicals, microchip and microchip registration.

Any additional donation would be greatly appreciated, and this portion may be tax-deductible. Donations help us to continue to care for these special dogs.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!
