If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
In Summer's early life, she came from a home with almost 30 other cats and they didn’t get a lot of human attention. The foster home I adopted her from had done a good job at making her an adjusted house cat (no outdoors). So I have not had any serious issues with her. The only reason she's up for adoption is because I ended up having a family (still growing) and I cannot give her the attention I used to give her. Summer is a very shy cat but will bond closely with the one or two people she spends the most time with. Because of this, she would probably be best suited for a single/couple household. But if the house is big enough, she can adapt to a family environment as well. Summer is a very food-motivated cat, and is probably that way due to her past. She enjoys pets on her head, ear, neck, and chest, and also likes monthly brushings. Overall, she's a chill cat and food is very important to her.
