Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

My name is Freeman and I am the sweetest dog! I was surrendered to Paddy's Paws, along with 24 other cocker spaniels, so that I could find a forever home through rescue. I am neutered and am up to date on all my routine medical care. I will have my cherry eyes repaired by the rescue in May.
I am such a gentle and loving boy. I like to be near my people and I am loving being a lap dog. I like to collapse into my foster mom's arms when she sits and has tea in the morning. I also like to stay close to the people in my foster home and we have fun walking around the big yard together while I learn to go potty outside. She tells me that I am making good progress. I even asked out the other day and my foster mom was super proud of me! I am also playful with my doggie friends! I still have a little puppy in me and I enjoy some social play time. I share toys and food and like to play tug and carry around my soft fuzzies and towels. I am good at going in my crate for treats and settle down well once I am in there with my friend. We like to cuddle and we sleep together in the crate at night. I am enjoying living with other dogs in my foster home and I like meeting new people too. I have an outgoing personality and haven't met a stranger who I don't like. Every day I feel more and more confident and comfortable and I am adapting to the household routine like a very good boy. That is what I really want to be - a good boy for my family.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
