Have you met Henry? No? Well let us tell you all about this very smart chap. He just seems like a chap - a very decent chap! Here are the basics: he 1.5 years old and about 32 lbs. He's on the smaller side but boy let us tell you he is totally packed with energy. We call him a ball of energy and he is incredibly smart. He loves exploring new places and learning new things both of which cater to his high intelligence and physical needs. We think he could be a Border Jack (Border Collie/Jack Russell). This mix is known to be Bold, Athletic, Intelligent, Independent, and Determined. That pretty much describes our Henry. He is super cute but just not meant to be in a chill, laid back home. He would thrive with a busy family that wants to include him in all their adventures. Agility and trick training would be something he would love. These hybrids are known to be super loyal and bond closely with their people. This mix of breeds can be amazing partners to farmers with a herd to tend as they combine the herding ability and high intelligence of the Border Collie with the bold attitude of the Jack Russell. An ideal situation for Henry would be as a faithful sidekick working alongside his family/person outside and then inside to relax after a hard day working. We absolutely adore this little boy with the big, big personality but shelter living is not enough for such a smart and active little guy. If you need a companion and help mate or you are a busy family with older children that would like an active dog then Henry is for you! He has been successfully matched with other dogs in playgroup so we think he would do fine with another dog in the house. A meet and greet would be required to make sure the energy levels matched. Come meet this phenomenal little powerhouse dog.Adopt from MCAS All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if positive), microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.
We are open 7 days a week 12pm to 5pm for adoptions, no appointment necessary!
