My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweetheart was threatened with euthanasia when discomfort from her declaw surgery (yes, she declawed all three of her poor cats) lead to a couple of accidents outside the box. The owner refused to change to a less irritating litter or seek medical advice and instead, decided to euthanize this gorgeous girl!

A good Samaritan stepped in and saved Emilee, surrendering her to us to ensure that she got both the medical care and the forever family that she deserves. Now, with a kinder care giver and a less abrasive litter, we've yet to see any sign of litter incidents. She has been a lovely and well mannered houseguest.

We love this girl! Better photos coming soon.

More about this rescue

Amor Peludo provides assistance to pet owners in underserved and lower income communities, focusing on Spanish speaking areas where language barriers have prevented pet owners from finding the resources they need to humanely care for their pets. Our programs consist of spay/neuter, TNR, education, pet rehoming, and a pet food bank.
