Hi my name is Gizmo and I'm a handsome 12 year old, 15 pound senior canine looking for my forever home! I'm currently living now with two calm senior dogs and we get along very well. I would, however, also be very happy as an only dog as I was before my first mom had to go to an assisted living home. I'm very calm and easy to please but prefer a quite relaxing home with no little children.
My foster mom says I am very cute, charming and well-behaved. I was born with leg deformities and so I have a wonky walk, but I get around fine and I find it adds to my charm and makes me quite unique. I do need help going up and down stairs, but I like going for very short walks on my leash. My favorite event is napping and snuggling in your lap. Oh and eating let's not forget yummy food. I am on a special diet to prevent bladder stones like I had several years back, but my foster mom says I will try my best to persuade you to give me lots of treats and other goodies that I cannot have.
I like to sleep in my crate because it's cozy and do my bathroom business outside since I am a mannerly old gent. If I’m left alone, l don’t bother anything in the house. So you see…I would be the perfect partner.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
