My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster or foster-to-adopt home needed!

Hi! My name is Patti & I am the cutest 1 year old girl you’ll ever meet. I love cuddles, sleeping & running around the backyard. I get along best with male large breed dogs, and I am not a big fan of the small dogs next door. I need work on leash reactivity as I have not really been socialized with a lot of dogs. So far I seem to ignore cats while on walks, but I have not been tested with cats in a home setting.

I have spent the last few weeks coming out of my shell with an awesome male doberman who has taught me how to play & vocalize all my needs. I bark a little when I’m around scary noises such as strangers, birds & trains, as I didn't see a lot of them when I was young. I love to shout when playing & I like to let you know when I am feeling left out. Please do not leave me in a room alone as I will whine & cry for you and your cuddles to come back for me! I end up settling within a couple minutes either way, but I will miss you!

When excited I sometimes pee a little, but not to worry, just let me out ASAP when I am released from my kennel so we don’t have any little accidents. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm crate trained?! With that said, my favourite way to sleep is like a parrot on your shoulder, my apologies if I snore!

I am extremely food driven, I love all the treats I can get, especially chicken ones. I am still learning not to counter surf if food is left too close to the counter's edge.

I really need someone who can continue my training and who will commit to exercising me adequately, as I was quite overweight when I came to the rescue, and I still have some pounds to shed.

Patti has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $500. All adopters must agree not to use any punitive training methods including, but not limited to, leash corrections; pinning; alpha rolls; and prong, pinch, choke, shock, or e-collars.

Apply to adopt Patti by submitting our adoption application at https://adoptadobe.com/adoption-application/. All adoptions require a home visit prior to finalization.
