My story

Hi my name is Aurora!!! I am a 1.5 yo lab mix - spayed and microchipped. I am a very sweet girl. Good with cats, other dogs and young kids. i am food motivated and needs positive reinforcement - does not do well with negative discipline (gets very timid and submissive). I LOVE seeing new people, going on walks, playing and a huge cuddler. Was crate trained in Feb 2023. Doesn't need a crate when left home alone now, she does great with our other dog uncoated. She was chewing and destroying any and all bedding we had in the crate, but I grew out of it as I got older. I am currently trained with a dog door and access outside, but man it gets hot and if you don’t catch me, I could find a potty spot inside - just stay out with me and I’m good! I really hope I find an amazing home with new people! I am just very active and need lots of time investment which my current family cannot provide!

The Pet Knot was forged to combine efforts of like-minded rescues and volunteers humbly striving to make a dent in the urgent pet over-population crisis. Our talents and strategies promote animal adoptions through online, in-store, and boutique-like options for adopters. All animals receive the highest level of medical care and grooming. Animals also receive appropriate adjustment time and basic social skills in foster homes in preparation for a new home environment. We help all animals including seniors, special needs, and those seemingly unadoptable cases and work diligently to place each in the most appropriate permanent home possible no matter how long it takes. We call ourselves The Pet Knot because not only do we connect people with pets, we keep people with pets.
