Introducing the Adoptable Duo! These bonded brothers are searching for a loving home where they can stay together. Upon arriving at HCCC, Deuce immediately bonded with his fosters, but he was still grappling with severe PTSD from his past experiences. Ace, Deuce’s big brother who raised him from a puppy, adapted more easily to their new environment and remained faithfully by Deuce's side, offering comfort and support. Though Deuce struggles with anxiety and reacts strongly, especially around men, he is learning how to trust and understands the world can be a safe and joyous place.
About Deuce (Chow):
- 2 yrs old; 73Ibs
- Quiet temperament and gentle personality
- Loves to run in the yard and dig holes
- Very smart boy who tries hard to listen and obey instructions
- Loves his walks! (he is currently improving on his leash pulling)
- Food motivated with a high prey drive
- Reactive towards other dogs in his direct space
About Ace (Cat):
- 3 yr; 20Ibs
- Affectionate, vocal, and loves attention
- Fond of his cat tree
- Loves ear and back scratches
- Loves his little brother, Deuce the Chow
These brothers are a package deal! **Ace & Deuce are located in Tulsa, OK. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.**

Houston Chow Chow Connection is a collaborative of dog lovers and rescuers that dedicate their time, efforts and talents toward helping rescue Chow Chows in need. We are an entirely volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) organization with no administrative costs.
Our rescue traces its origin back several years to the work of Dianne Watson. Dianne dedicated much of her young life to saving homeless Chows in North and West Texas. In her memory, Houston Chow Chow Connection continues her passion of uniting Chow Chows with perfect forever families.
HCCC began rescuing in 2013 and re-homed over 400 dogs since inception, including over 125 in 2017! Our dogs found homes on the East and West coasts of the U.S. and have traveled north and south! As we continue to rescue and re-home more and more Chows, our costs grow. As you may know, rescuing animals takes money. Not only is there the typical care and upkeep (including food and general veterinary care), some of our rescues need specialized treatments.
At HCCC we don’t pick and choose the dogs we rescue – they pick us. While the majority of our rescues are healthy, we never turn our backs on the homeless, Chows with physical issues, or disabilities. Some of our incoming babies have suffered long-term and extensive neglect. New HCCC dogs may require spay/neuter, shaving due to extensive matting, entropion and/or hip replacement surgeries, treatment of skin problems and a variety of other issues.
