Boomer does well on car rides; he will lay down and stay calm he whole ride.
Storms and fireworks do not bother him at all.
He is house trained - he lays on his bed all day and hangs out. HE likes squeaky balls and toys and chewing on a bone. He can go several hours without needing to go potty outside and is very patient in waiting.
We feed him Farmer's Dog food for the past 2 years. He loves to eat apples and strawberries with me. I will share bites with him every few bites. He loves soup bones and meatball treats. He loves going for walks outside at night in the neighborhood.
I don't have a fenced in yard and he is really good at listening to me. He will follow me to the bird feeder every day to fill up the seeder and stay close. He loves to roll around outside when it's sunny and eat the tall grass when the weeds are too high (we call it eating his "salad").
His ideal home is with a male or female. He truly just loves to follow someone around and sleep. He is old and blind so he is easy and genuinely calm.
He loves to be called Boomie, Handsome Man, Sweet Boy. When dad plays the trumpet he howls along.
He is very calm for the most part, other than when people come over or when we go on walks.
He only barks when someone is at the door.
He is blind. The command he knows the most is "careful" and "sit". When he is walking inside or outside we say "careful" and he will slow down or stop. He will sit when told to sit. His other senses are very good. He will follow me inside and outside based on sound and smell.
Age: 9 years old approx Weight: approx 75 lbs Temperament: Gets along with adults. Training: house trained. Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative For questions about Boomer, please email.

âTo ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself
