My parents are demanding I re-home my pet dog. He has unfortunately bitten multiple people and has nipped at my 4-year old niece when they were both near food. Generally he is okay with her. He is good with most dogs but I have seen his back hairs raise sometimes when he meets other dogs so I typically keep him away from strangers dogs.
He is anxious, he is 9 years old. He is healthy and has a lot of energy still. Since he bit my niece, he spends a lot of time in his crate, but is used to going outside when my mom smokes. I unfortunately don't have the time for him.
I would prefer to re-home him somewhere where I could visit him occasionally and I imagine that it will take him a long time to adjust to a new home. I would be interested in helping that process by visiting him at once a day for awhile. I'm afraid he might have a hard time eating during the adjustment.
I am willing to walk him for free (schedule dependent) and help pay for his food
