Description of pet
Meet Sparky!
Sparky is a 2 year old male cat. He was found in Hartford hiding in a cat carrier on its side. He is all black with beautiful golden eyes. Sparky can be extremely sweet but he doesn’t like change. Every time we more him he becomes upset and growls/swats. Once he is established somewhere he goes back to his loving self. He does tolerate our 80lb lab mix well. He doesn’t seem too scared of her. Sparky needs an experienced cat adopter who understands his behavior. He is neutered and up to date with vaccines, tested positive for FIV .FIV cats can live a completely normal lifespan if taken care of properly. They are also able to live with negative cats as long as they don’t fight aggressively. Sparky has extra toes in front so he looks very cute! If your interested in Sparky please fill out our pre-adoption application located at GwenLin.org. If you have any questions please call Sandy at 860-634-1427.

More about this rescue
The GwenLin Animal Relief Program was created in memory of Gweneth and Linda Clark, my mom and sister. They had a real love of animals and did all they could to help them. The foundation is a non-profit 501(3)c. We try to save animals set for unnecessary euthanasia, special needs and any pet that needs a forever home. The GwenLin Animal Relief Program will then medically evaluate these pets and get them ready for their forever homes. We also try to include seniors as adoptee’s as they are overlooked by many rescues. We also offer education about pet insurance and how to plan for your pet when you can no longer care for them.
