Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roo is a friendly two year old 43 lb dog with a stumpy tail. It's about half the size of a traditional tail but its all natural. We think he has some cattledog, but without a DNA test who knows? We do know Roo is 100% lovable.

Roo loves to give kisses and get pets. And a nice scratch. This good boy was a star at the vet's and made everyone fall in love. He's great with strangers and walks well on the leash. He seems fine with dogs. And oh that tail. Did we mention his great smile?

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.

We are a private, nonprofit, all breed, no-kill dog rescue.
