My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter is everybody's favorite dog. His big brown eyes shine with a special light of love that was undimmed by a lengthy shelter stay. He won the hearts of some former adopters who rescued him from the euthanasia list. He's about seven years old and weighs 15 pounds. He's got great energy, likes other dogs, and wants only to be your forever friend. Walter is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. More importantly, he can’t wait to meet you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adoptors are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available on our site, www.perfectpetrescue.com The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog can go home. Our adoption fee is $250.00. Each dog goes home with a complete set of veterinary records, micro chip, collar with tag and leash. We are available to discuss issues regarding training and health which can arise after adoption.

Go meet their pets

We show by appointment during the week at our veterinarians office where our pets are boarded. We are available in the evening as well as daytime hours. On Saturday we take the dogs to an adoption in Santa Monica, then on Sunday we go to an adoption site in Los Angeles. All info regarding location, hours and maps are on our site, www.perfectpetrescue.com.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 whose goal is to save as many dogs as we can from ending their lives in the shelters. We are staffed almost entirely by volunteers who drive to shelters on a daily basis. We have been in operation 365 days a year for 14 years. Although we charge an adoption fee our main source of money to care for the dogs is from our annual fund raiser. We welcome new volunteers to help walk and love our dogs, and would be thrilled to have foster home volunteers.
