Ducky is a sweet Frenchie mix with a Frenchie temperament. He'll follow his owner around wherever they go, and loves to snuggle. He needs someone who will be sweet and tender, but also firm and consistent. He needs to know that his owner is the boss of him. He's highly treat motivated and quickly learns new behaviors. A dog trainer said that he is "a trainer's dream!"
He was abandoned and was emaciated when he was found. Ducky needs a calm environment with no loud noises, as he startles easily. He needs to be the only dog in the household. He is afraid of cats and will avoid them. He's too exciteable to be around little children.
He is house broken, but sometimes has accidents. He likes his owner to go outside with him. He can be left alone for many hours in a crate. If left unattended he can be destructive with pillows, blankets and other furniture. He doesn't mind having baths or nail trims.
He likes to have blankets to drag around and suck on, and he likes ripping stuffed toys.
