My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAXWELL and BENNY are a bonded pair of young adult male kitties: MAXWELL is all white with gray on the top of his head, and BENNY is all white with grey on his head and a cute black nose. Are you a bit of an introvert? Do you enjoy quiet days at home, sitting by the fire with a book, or lounging on the sofa watching your favorite shows? Then these are the perfect pair of kitties for you. These boys are shy at first but they quickly become cuddle bugs. They love each other a lot and you will very rarely see them far from one another. Maxwell warms up quicker than his brother, but once Benny sees that Maxwell likes you, he will come around. Maxwell and Benny’s foster family says that after about a month they were finally comfortable, and were following them around the house and lying with them on the couch and on the bed. Maxwell loves looking out windows, playing with string, and having lots of conversations with you. Benny loves picking up any mouse toy or cloth ball and throwing it around for hours on end.  Now that the boys have had time to become socialized with their foster family, the adaptation period may be quicker. If you are patient and enjoy a quiet home, Benny and Maxwell could be the sweet companions to complete your family!

They have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and are negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet BENNY and MAXWELL in foster CARE, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $170 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
