Mavis is a very sweet tempered adult female labrador retriever. She LOVES all people - male, female, tall, short, older, younger - doesnt matter to her! She is also very smart. She is house-trained, she knows how to use a pet door, she sleeps well in her crate, and she loves walks. She does not appear to be anxious except when new dogs approach her. She has been attacked by a dog in the past, so she takes time to trust new dogs now. She may do best as an only dog. She does not bark a lot - only occasionally. She knows to sit and takes treats with a soft mouth. She also knows wait, stay, and sit commands. She does tend to follow her foster mom around and likes to be near her :) She also loves pets, scratches, and ear rubs from anyone and everyone! She is an awesome dog and deserves a wonderful home. Could you be the right adopter for sweet Mavis?! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.
