Ruby#1 needs a patient owner, she is special needs because she is scared of people, but she is NOT aggressive. She warms up fairly quickly after she gets to know you. She is extremely happy and wiggly when she wakes up in the morning and is super happy to see you. She is housetrained and LOVES other dogs. Rides well in the car and enjoys it. Loves to play fetch and will make a great fetch partner! Meet the dog/puppy at weekly adoption events (every Saturday) Meet cat/kitten at area locations including our Kitty Korner (1649 Main St)

Interview

Interview to see if the pet will be a good fit into the home.

Approve Application

The application is completed and approved.

Sign Adoption Contract

Take the Pet Home

Meet the pet. A short interview will be conducted. Fill out an adoption application and contract and you can take your new companion home. We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Saturday from 10 to 1 at the Grand Junction Petco, PetSmart or Chow Down for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment at Grand Rivers Humane Kitty Korner (1649 Main St, Grand Junction 970.257.0070) or anytime at Petco, PetSmart and J&M Aquatics. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
