My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Mouse" ! # Mouse is a 1-3 year old spayed female cat with so much personality! She is a very small cat with short legs and a long body who is athletic and playful. Mouse follows her foster parents around like a dog and is very vocal and chatty. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and never scratches or bites people-even when playing, she is very gentle. She lets her foster parents pick her up and hold her and purrs all the time. She is very kitten-like in her drive to play and needs a home where she will have other cat(s) to play and spend time with. She is more motivated to play than to snuggle, but is very socially driven and likes to be near her people. Mouse does well with dogs who don't chase or pay too much attention to her (she can get scared of dogs who are all up her business). Please fill out our application on our website catassistanceny.org

More about this rescue

Cat Assistance is a non-profit organization founded on the belief that every animal deserves a second chance. We primarily take in cats from private owners who are forced to give up their cats and we also pull cats and kittens from overcrowded shelters that have run out of time and may be in danger of euthanasia. We give these cats necessary medical treatment which may include spaying and neutering if necessary. Each cat is socialized and loved while in our care, in the hope that we can match the cat to the perfect home. We work to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the overpopulation of unwanted animals. We have added dogs to our mission and have rescued dogs from local overcrowded animal shelters. We do all the necessary medical care as well as spay and neuter these dogs before we find them a suitable home
