My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Blue

Age: Approx 2 (as of 2/5/24)

Blue's Story: This new mama arrived from Roswell NM on 2/10 and entered a foster home with her 7 babes. She is looking for her forever home. She is approx 2 years old. She will be spayed. Blue is a very curious sweet girl. She loves being with people. She enjoys hanging on the couch! She loves looking out of the window and watching what is happening on the street. She is aboiut 40 lbs. She does very well with our 70lb female dog. She loves long walks and sniffing all the smells! She enjoys treats and likes her new rain coat!

Good with dogs? Yes, currently housed with two chihuahuas, two Boston terriers and a pit/GP mix. We are only considering applicants who have a resident pup. Blue's best life includes a dog sibling!

Good with kids? Unsure at this time as she has not been exposed to children while being with us.

Good with cats? She could be. She has seen our cats and is very interested in them, but has not chased or gotten close to them.

Has experience on a leash? Yes, she loves walks.

Potty trained? Yes, she has had no accidents while staying with us.

Crate trained? Yes, she can be left in her crate for 8+ hours without any accidents.

Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In her crate.

Where does the dog sleep? In her room or in her crate.

When does the dog eat? Morning and evening.

What does the dog eat? Dry kibble(Acana red meat blend), eggs, sardines, carrots and pumpkin. Milk bones and bully sticks. She enjoys her frozen kong with kibble and turkey flavored baby food. She likes dehydrated lamb lung too.

Temperament/Personality: Blue is a very sweet dog. She shows us love everyday. She enjoys laying on the couch next to us. She loves sunbathing on the deck. She is very energetic and enjoys long walks or ripping around the back yard with her foster sister. She is playful and goofy.

What does the dog's ideal home look like? Blue’s ideal home would be an active one! Lots of walks or even hikes!  She loves love!

What are the dog's strengths? Blue is very smart! She is adaptable. Fully potty trained. She is a good listener and getting better at her recall. She can be very chill and snuggly!

What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? She is still working on her excitement while on the leash. She is still working on her recall. She is still working on staying off when greeting us.

If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Zendaya. Blue is gorgeous, calm and cool! She can be very outgoing and so lovable! With her beautiful coloring she is a real trendsetter.

If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Beautiful young lady who is ready to settle into her forever home. Classy and calm but can be wild and crazy!

Beach or Mountains? A bit of both! Blue would love walking trails all day and making it to an awesome waterfall! Take her to the beach and she will smell all the smells and sip her toes in the water!

Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? She is a big fan any you she can defluff. She enjoys chewing on her foster sisters bark box hard toys!

Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share…..” their love with!

What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Blue loves pup cups from Auntie Irene’s…she knows the boss!
