My wife and I rescued Donut when he was 7 weeks old. He's turning 6 in June. Donut is a little 10lb black and white Chiweenie. And a total lovebug! He's a lapdog who needs to be with his person/pack, snuggling and getting affection. Donut is incredibly smart, fun-loving, enjoys running/playing, sunbathing and he likes all people.
We're looking to rehome him because we're expecting our second child and already have constraints with limited family support. We've struggled to provide the attention he requires while caring for our toddler and managing busy work schedules.
Overall, Donut hasn't adjusted well to a new baby in the family and getting less attention. He gets hurt when he sees the two of us giving our toddler our focus. Our hearts break for him and we want him to live his best life!
He needs to be with someone who's very loving, attentive and home a lot.
He does well with other dogs; it would be ideal if he could be in a home where another dog could keep him company.
