Steve and his siblings have been raised outside in a farm setting around chickens, horses, goats and cats. They have also done well around other dogs and children. Steve is said to be a sweet clown and the goofiest of his siblings. He is quite social and seeks out affection from people. Basic training and socialization will be needed, but he is already leaps ahead of his siblings. They have been outdoors so far, but we would love to find them loving indoor homes that will make them part of the family.

Fees range from $80 to $150 depending on age and breed.

We have a weekly adoption fair at Petco in Danville, Va. where we bring some of our dogs and cats. Most are fostered in members' homes. If you see a dog on our web site, please call us and we will make an appointment for you to meet. We make every effort to match the dogs with their prospective homes. More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated volunteers formed in 2007 to increase adoptions and reduce the kill rate from our local pound. We foster, vet, transfer and love all the dogs that we rescue and make every possible effort to place them in forever loving homes. We also operate a food bank to help keep pets in their homes. We are totally dependent on volunteers and donations from animal lovers like ourselves. We are saving and placing 20-30 dogs a month who would have been euthanized.
