My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mojita and her sister, Margarita, were trapped in a colony in Wilmington, NC. They were caught just in time to be socialized at a young age. Mojita was adopted by her foster, but 2 years later, the adopter fell on hard times and Mojita was returned. She has not been exposed to children or dogs and reportedly doesn't get along with all other cats. We will further assess her in her new foster home. This lovely kitty deserves a new chance at a loving, permanent home. She will be shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes attached to her human.

All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org.

We only adopt kittens and young cats out within a one hour radius of Wilmington, NC. Occasionally we make exceptions for adult cats, but we are not a transport company.

More about this rescue

Faith McNitt started Feline Matchmakers in January of 2020. We are a small organization that focuses on owner surrenders. The larger organizations focus on shelter pulls, so we feel this is the most needed service in Wilmington, NC. We also work TNR cases in small numbers. We are looking for fosters to build our organization. All fosters work on a charity basis, as we do not yet have the funding to pay for anything other than medical expenses. If interested in joining us to save cats from being euthenized or put in shelters, please contact us.
