Rupert is absolutely beautiful and very gentle! He was originally rescued from a puppy mill but the woman who rescued him has now encountered some significant health problems and needed to rehome him. Despite his initial fearfulness and timidity, Rupert is blossoming in his foster home. He definitely has a playful spirit and loves toys, balls and especially fellow canines. We would love to see him go to a home with another playful dog. Rupert warms up with time and treats. He particularly favors the company of women, so with men it will take more time and more treats. Rupert was probably already house trained, but being a diligent learner, he has mastered the dog door. He presently eats and rests in a crate situated in his foster mom's bedroom. Rupert has the potential to flourish into a confident companion, ready to embrace life's adventures with you! He is heartworm negative and ready for a sleepover.

The SouthEast Beagle Rescue Inc is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new loving homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused Beagles and Beagle mixed dogs. We strive to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying/neutering our Beagles prior to adoption. We shall also be a resource to the community for information on the Beagle breed. We are an all volunteer and foster based not-for-profit organization.
