My name is Kenai!

Kenai is a huge explorer with a gentle soul! He enjoys going on off-leash walks with his foster so he can venture into the trees and water to sniff everything! Whenever he gets a little too far, his foster mom will call his name and he will return, but he does prefer to stay off the trail. Kenai is great with strangers and is easy to trust new people. He knows to sit before every meal and is eager to please so tricks come easy to this handsome fella! He is kennel trained and will even go lay in his kennel on his own when he wants some alone time. Kenai is very vocal when expressing his emotions. When he is excited, sad, hungry, or anxious he will whimper to ensure you know how he is feeling. Kenai is great when walking on a leash and will stick to whatever pace you prefer! He gets along great with his foster dog siblings, but tends to chase the cats so he would be best in a home with a dog savvy cat who is sure to correct him when he is being too nosey! 

Kenai's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and monthly preventatives. Also included in the adoption fee is a basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha! Kenai is seeking an indoor only home, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application on our website.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets as indoor animals only, altered and kept current on vaccines and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
