My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good things do come in small packages. This little guy is lots of fun!

Say hi to Toffee. Named for his beautiful coat, Toffee is a 5-year-old chihuahua mix who weighs a compact 17lbs. Tiny Toffee is a muscular, athletic guy who is definitely in his prime! He loves car rides, long walks, and encountering new wildlife. He is gentle and friendly with cats, dogs, and strangers. Toffee is also a softie - he is very affectionate, secure at your side, and ready to provide cuddles for some extra cheer. The list of Toffee's dislikes is pretty short: nail trims and marshmallows (though he gets credit for trying). A few scratches and scars remain on his head, he is otherwise perfectly healthy. Best of all, this wonderful pup's resilient spirit shines through!

Toffee is beyond the drama of adolescence. This little guy is house trained and crate trained, and working on the final touches of his leash skills. Toffee loves a good nap, and after his nap he is ready to team up and explore the great outdoors!

Could this affectionate adventurer find his forever home with you?!

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
