Hi! I am Sander and I am new here! I’ve been living with a nice family where I have 3 human foster siblings, a foster cat brother, and 5 other dogs. It’s a bit chaotic at times but I am loving every minute of it. My foster siblings are teaching me all sorts of “rules” on how to be a good boy when I am inside with our people. I have a lot of energy so my ideal family would be prepared to give me plenty of exercise. I also love snuggling up to my humans on the couch while they watch their evening shows. My foster mom always lets me rest my head on her lap, it makes me feel so loved and safe! When our humans are away, I am learning how to be crate trained. I don’t particularly love it but my foster siblings are showing me that it’s ok and our humans always come back. If you’re looking for a handsome, loyal and strong Shepherd – I am your guy and I cannot wait to meet you! -------------------------------------------- All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
