My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mittens is a young at heart 5 year old girl. She was put outside when her people could not afford litter. Unfortunately, it was not a safe neighborhood for a cat not born on the streets to be out on their own. She was found hiding in a window well after kids were hitting her with a stick. Our rescuer took her to the vet, and luckily, she had no permanent injuries. Mittens is very mellow and well-mannered. She is happy to be in a safe place where she is loved. She is ready to have a forever home and family of her own to love.

We take applications and review them. We have adopters meet our dogs/cats and our staff. We have an adoption contract to sign. Our adoption fees are usually $150 (cats) / $200 (dogs) which includes vet fees for spay/neuter and vaccinations.

OUR MISSION (the five R's):
To RESCUE abandoned dogs and community cats in desperate situations; REHABILITATE the sick, the injured, and the abused; REHOME dogs, cats and kittens ready for permanent placement with a suitable guardian; provide a loving REFUGE for cats that are not adopted; and REDUCE local shelter cat intake and euthanasia by promoting spaying and neutering.
