Hi! I’m Jovi! I am a sweet, quiet and shy lady who gets along with most dogs (not the super assertive ones please) I have not been around cats to know how I would do and even though I’ve had several babies of my own, a home with young kids is probably not best for me. I am house trained and crate trained and I do really well on a leash. I do need to be crated when you leave for your workday because that is where I feel safe and would love it if my new family had someone who works from home or has a more flexible work schedule to help me since I am still coming out of my shell. I am an independent girl and like my space, but I do really enjoy going for walks. I am not much of a cuddler, but I do love my snuggly blankets and feel cozy in my bed too. I am learning that I like treats. Hot dogs are my favorite! I am a clever girl and catch on quickly, but I still need some practice. Because I have not had much human interaction, I’m looking for humans who are calm and gentle and will be patient with me as I continue to trust and open up. I take medication to make things a little bit easier and will need to continue them in my new home. Everything is so very new to me, so I need someone who is patient, and willing to help me learn! I feel most secure when I am part of a pack and can learn from my fellow canines. I think I would love some fur-siblings to help me come out of my shell even more and show me the ropes, so long as they are not too assertive to scare me. I cannot wait to find my forever home who will show me that life isn’t so scary and provide me all the love and cuddles I deserve!
