Hi! My name is Nellie and I’m a year old tabby who loves all the attention! I was rescued from outside with my sister and best friend Nala who I’ve never been separated from. I typically take the lead and show her that the things and people around her aren’t so scary after all and that it’s okay! I’m a little shy at first but once you show me the treats and scratch behind my ears I will melt in your hand! My favorite pastime is baking since I am a world class biscuit maker, I love to make biscuits while I’m eating, laying down, while you scratch my chin, ears, or butt , and even while playing! I have no problem letting you know I want attention either and will vocalize it to you! Sudden movements still make me nervous so don’t be too quick when you reach out to pet me, with some more love and patience I will be a lap cat in my forever home which I hope is with you!

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
