My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who needs some Gin? Gin's estimated DOB is 05/15/2022 and she's a black and brown Rottweiler. Gin and Tonic are sisters who were found and brought to us as strays. Tonic has found her home, but Gin is still looking for her people.

Gin can be timid at first, but she warms up to new people within a couple of days and when she sees somebody she knows approaching, she wags her whole entire butt! She learned the "sit" command exceptionally fast and is treat-motivated. So far, her favorites seem to be peanut butter treats, and she's not a big fan of the bacon kind. She's also been working on leash training and is doing a great job! She weighs 50 pounds.

All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week. More about this shelter

We are a no-kill sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs and cats, and for those left homeless by the death of their guardian. We provide an environment as homelike as possible with lots of loving care to our furry residents. It may take days or years, but we will always keep trying for all of the animals in our care. Volunteers and donations are always needed and welcome!
