My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Solar is a cat with special needs, as she has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). She is one of three sisters that are all CH, and needs to be adopted with Sunny or Star. She is a sweet girl who is a little wobbly on her feet. She will need to be in a home with carpeting, no access to stairs. She can eat and drink on her own, and eats both wet food and dry. She does require the use of silicone bowls so she can't injure herself. Solar uses the litter box on her own, but she needs a high side, low front entry litter box. Her disability will not get worse, as she learns and adapts to her environment with patience.

Additional adoption info

We start with a phone interview to gather information to determine if initially it would be a good fit. We then have an application to be completed and in some circumstances a home visit.

More about this rescue

Paws for Life Utah is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to helping homeless dogs, cats and other "at risk" animals from municipal shelters find new, forever homes. We are a no-kill advocate, partnering with the Heber valley animal shelter, making them no-kill in 2013. Since then, we have expanded our reach throughout the state of Utah to rescue animals at risk. Our vision for the future is a "no kill" nation.
