Bellini is an approximately 6 year old Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen mix. She is a timid girl who likes to spend much of her day in bed and snuggling. She has the highest of standards, refusing to use the outdoor facilities when its dark or raining -- because of this she sometimes has potty accidents. She can be wary of new places, prefering one area that she is familiar with and needs support to explore unfamiliar places.
Bellini is a smart pup, she knows Sit, Stay and Come but her high standards means she only likes to obey when she has a mind to. Bellini loves the attention of daily grooming, brushing and face washing to keep her feeling fresh and clean. She loves to be pet and if she isn't sitting next to you will jump up to ask for more.
She gets excited and barks at neighbors and their dogs when they are outside and she has the same level of excitement when people come to visit. She is very affectionate to her person and can sometimes have some protective behaviors towards others who want to be close to her person, she will benefit from positive redirection when having this behavior.
Bellini is a very sweet, affectionate girl who would love a snuggle partner to spend her days with. Apply to meet her!

**Note on breed and age determination:
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
- Wellness check
- Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
- Age appropriate vaccines - rabies as required by law and distemper combo or proof of positive titer test
- Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
- Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
- Microchip ​
~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
