Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable grandpa of a shihtzu is in need of a helping paw. Slim Jim was found as a stray in such sad shape. He's around 12 years old and he's visually-impaired and has some other age-related health issues. Nothing too serious, but his skin, eyes, and ears have been neglected throughout his life, so it's made him a bit on the grumpier side. BUT, there's a home for everyone and we know that there's a special person out there that's used to grumpy old men! Slim Jim can be very sweet and easy-going, he just has to get to know you. He doesn't like to be startled so a home with no kids is needed. He'll be ok with another dog that doesn't get in his face or push him around. Slim Jim just wants to relax and take his time to get to know his new home and people, and never have to suffer again. He's well-mannered, good on a leash, and he really doesn't ask for much. He's available for foster or adoption and he hopes you'll give him a chance! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#70795 2/22/24
