Meet Rosie, a former stray whose life changed forever when a kind friend brought her to MACS. Rosie is a bit on the shy side, still learning everything about being an indoor cat. If she had to pick her favorite things about living with people, it would be eating wet food and playing with catnip toys. While she does enjoy getting pets, Rosie can get overwhelmed with too much affection. She does best with gentle and deliberate contact, with lots of stops to make sure she's still enjoying herself. An ideal home for Rosie would be able to give her the space she needs to decide when she wants to be around her people, and when she wants to relax and enjoy time on her own. Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

During COVID, we are asking people interested in a dog to fill out an application at our website, once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills or a PetCo in Roseville. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: www.macsshelter.org/dog-application/. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.
